About RHA

The Residence Hall Association at the George Washington University is a student-run organization that governs all students living on campus. All 7,000+ students living on campus are part of RHA, however they are represented by their respective Residential Advisory Councils (RACs). Each residence hall has 5-6 representatives that are elected in September to lead their house in programming, advocacy, and community service. These representatives are the members of the RHA General Body, which convenes once every month. The students running these meetings and planning large-scale events are the nine members of the RHA Executive Board. RHA is a nationally affiliated organization and a proud member of the Central Atlantic region of The National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH). Every year RHA holds several popular events on campus, including Target Takeover during Welcome Week and Martha's Marathon in the spring.
